We love counting in Nursery so we have enjoyed lots of different number activities for Maths Week. We spent a lot of time looking at the poster and counting all the different things. There were some special ducks in our water tray. We had to use nets to fish them out and then count the spots on their side. We could check if we were right by looking at the number on the bottom of the duck. We had different lollipops called Number Pops. We had to count the dots on one part and find the cover to match it. When all the lollipops were matched up, Jude lined them up from 1-10 in the correct order! Our Counting Cows got separated and we had to join them back together again. We did great counting and matching. We are also getting ready for Halloween and the boys and girls in the nursery class made spiders. We had to make sure we put the correct amount of legs on our spiders! Lastly, we love to sing, so we have been doing some counting songs at mat time. We have been singing Five Little Pumpkins, Three Little Witches and Five Little Ghosts. We have great little mathematicians in Nursery!
