Maths Week Fun
15th Oct 2025
Our Primary 1 pupils have been taking their maths learning outside for Maths Week and having a fantastic time! Using chalk, they’ve been drawing shapes, writing numbers, filling in missing number sequences, and even creating seasonal artwork like pumpkins made of shapes and spiders with 8 legs. The children also explored nature by collecting leaves, twigs, and stones, which they sorted into groups of big, medium, and small—developing their understanding of size and classification. These hands-on activities sparked lots of lively discussion and helped build rich mathematical language. (Apologies for the chalky uniforms—we think it was worth it!)
