Mathletics Round-Up!🎉🌟

6th Feb 2024

Fantastic news on Mathletics! To date the pupils in our school have achieved 193 Bronze certificates, 80 Silver certificates, 35 Gold certificates and 9 Platinum certificates. The children have completed 5,168 activities to date with many more logging on to enjoy ‘Live Maths’ as well as all the additional apps within the system. They have achieved 581,110 Curriculum Points and 32,982 Live Maths Points. The children spent 2,118 hours on Mathletics in school and 3,050 hours on Mathletics at home. This again is testimony to parents seeing the value of computer-based learning at home alongside both written and practical Maths. Students continue to excel with the help of Mathletics!🌟 The average student improvement pass rate went up from 85% in September 2023 to 94% in January 2024. Mrs O’Neill, the Numeracy co-ordinator is delighted with these results.

We continue to encourage all P3-P7 children to log onto Mathletics over mid-term and in the months ahead as this will be invaluable in the lead up to end of year computerised assessment. Mathletics helps with logic, problem solving, comprehension as well as many areas of Numeracy and Maths. Don’t forget parents, you can download many booklets and watch many Maths explanation videos on Mathletics which will help to support or challenge your child.

Our whole school focus for Maths from Jan-May is ‘Shape and Space’. There are many Mathletics ‘Shape and Space’ activities on the system for P3-P7. The children in The Early Years are also working on fantastic practical work for ‘Shape and Space’ too. Well done everyone!🌟
