Mathletics

23rd Sep 2022

Our P3-P7 are due to enter the wonderful world of ‘Mathletics’. This is a secure, online Maths program purchased by the school for P3 to P7 pupils. Your child has been issued with a unique username and password so they can access ‘Mathletics’ at home if you so wish. Their usernames and passwords are on a little card in their homework books so that pupils can use them both at home and in school. We advise watching the ‘Parent Tour video’ at https://support.3plearning.com/mathletics/mathletics-parent-tour/ should you wish to see the full overview of the program.

  • The easiest way to access ‘Mathletics’ is to GOOGLE login.mathletics.com
  • You and your child can then enter his/her unique username and password codes in ‘Sign in’.
  • Once on the system, there are 3 main coloured icons – To do/Explore/ Play.
  • We suggest clicking on ‘Play’ initially to begin to familiarise or re-familiarise yourself and your child with the program and scrolling down to the Apps at the bottom of the screen where you will find the ‘Rainforest Maths’ App and the ‘Live Maths’ App.
  • In the next few weeks, teachers will add specific homework tasks which you will find in your child’s ‘To do’ section.
  • With your help, your child can work through these tasks, quests and apps sections within the ‘To do/Explore/Play’ sections
  • Your child can work to gain points which are turned into certificates (please note that not all activities provide points but do provide essential Maths skills work). We wish to aim for 1000 points per week from Sunday to Sunday to attain bronze certificates which are eventually turned into silver certificates and then gold certificates. Points return to 0 each Sunday and only scores of 1000 points or more can be banked each week!
  • Should you wish, you can download lots and lots of Mathletics workbooks from the program to challenge and support your child at home
  • In joining ‘Mathletics’ the school has donated to the UNICEF charity to which ‘Mathletics’ is affiliated.
