MAGNIFICENT MAKERS Day 3 Part 2

23rd Apr 2020

More 'Magnificent Makers'... Mai (P4) has been busy designing and making her very own vegetable plot. We look forward being updated during our 'Grow' challenge the week after next. Brilliant work Mai. Not to be outdone, Mai's brother Emmett (P6) made a wonderful Lego Pikachu - an idea he got from the frugalfun4boys website. Emmet's Mum says that he is loving all the new ideas whilst also managing to work hard at all his English and Maths school work. Cassie (P5) and Luis (P3) have been busy working together and making a wonderful 'Animals' project. Super learning! They have also been busy making buns with their little sister Rebecca. Yum! Ellie (P5) made a picture using rocks, shells, a twig and some acrylic paints. Lovely rainbow colours Ellie! Darragh (P2), John (P1) and Ava (Nursery) all made biscuits together. They look delicious! Well done everyone!

Charlotte (P6) has been very busy building landmarks and has so far built the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben whilst learning about them both whilst making them. Her mum tells me that they  are currently waiting on the postman bringing the Statue of Liberty for her to build. She has already learned of how America was gifted the statue from the French. Bella Grace (Nursery) has loved baking Rice Krispie buns and painting rocks for their flowers. Both girls have both planted and they are both lovingly watering and taking care of them daily. Leah (Nursery) tells me that she is loving the 3 little pigs story and she has been busy making houses and got toy pigs and a wolf and presented the story to her mum and dad. Cian also sent a video of him making egg is a cup. Very tasty Cian.

Finally for today' makers, Niadh (Nursery) has been very busy crafting and making over the past few days. She made a beautiful Fairy Garden, a flower arrangement, homemade cards and a large 'Rainbow Poster' to show we are thinking about all our Carers.

Bella (P2) got in touch to tell me that she is really missing her friends and being able to go to school but has been using the time to work hard on her schoolwork and doing plenty of reading. She also had great fun with her mum and dad filling her own 2020 time capsule.

Olivia (Nursery) has also been in touch to say that she has been learning all about the Three little pigs and practicing writing her name, in rainbow colours. Her sister Sophia (P4) has been practicing her camogie and Irish dancing while also doing her school work and lots of reading. Sophia told me that she has decided to learn about a different country each week and write 10 interesting facts about each one. So far she has learned all about  Australia and this week is learning about Italy. They both tell me that they are really missing everyone and Sophia, in particular would like to send her love to all her friends in P4 as they were due to be making their First Communion on Saturday. Thank you Sophia and we are all thinking of our P4's this week as it was to be a special week for you all. However, I have no doubt we will celebrate at a different time together.
