This week, the Primary 4 children were learning all about stop motion animation. Guided by Miss McCarthy, the children explored the features of stop motion animation, learning about renowned animators and animated projects. The children listened to a lesson on creating a story board, learning about what goes into making an animation and then watched Miss McCarthy demonstrate how to make a simple animation. The children were eager to create their own projects, so they were set the task of creating a story board for a space themed animation.
To foster inclusion and integration, over the next few weeks, the Primary 4 children will be creating stop motion animations related to the theme of Space. Their movies will then be shown to Ash Class, to link with their topic.
