Today at school we had James from iRock deliver a whole school assembly. He had the school hall buzzing with energy as the sound of drums, keyboard, and guitar filled the room and pupils sang along enthusiastically to well‑known songs. Mrs Breen also joined in with a song on drums.
A real highlight was the creation of our very own school band! In just 5 minutes, with no experience or practice, we had Daniel (P6) on guitar, Rebecca (P4) on keyboard, Alfie (P7) kept everyone in time on the drums, and lead singer Olivia (P2) performing an energetic rendition of the classic Queen track 'We Will Rock You.' The audience certainly agreed—it was an unforgettable performance!
An information leaflet has gone home with your child explaining how to sign up for iRock. The programme is open to all pupils from P1 to P7 and is scheduled to begin in September 2026.
