Herb Garden in Ash Class
19th Feb 2026
We planted Oregano, Basil and Parsley in Ash class today. The children really loved doing this activity, and it was a wonderful way to explore sensory play in an eco-friendly way. Since achieving Level 5 in the Royal Horticultural Society Awards, Ash Class have loved using gardening as a way to encourage understanding about nature, biodiversity and the need for outdoor learning. Any chance the children get, we take our learning outside and explore nature. These herb plants will make a wonderful addition to our sensory garden and outdoor classroom. We will keep you all up to date on how they herbs are growing, and we look forward to eating some, maybe sprinkled on a pizza.
