Happy Mid-Term P4!🌟🌨☔️☀️
As the wind howled and the rain gushed outside, P4 enjoyed the warmth of their classroom this week as they worked on their ‘Whatever the Weather’ WAU topic. Mrs O’Neill found some lovely new, award winning weather fact and fiction books for the class library. The boys and girls based some of their Literacy lessons on them, finding out about weather conditions in different parts of the world and creating weather symbols for their display.
Numeracy was all about Multiplication with lots of problem-solving of number and worded questions, Mathletics and Dynamo Maths. Many congratulations to Ruairi who gained his Gold certificate for Mathletics in P4 this week.
As we are off next week and it is Children’s Mental Health Week, the class produced some beautiful mindful colouring pieces, enjoyed mindful music and movement as well as lots of quiet, calm activities. Joe from The Ash Class really enjoyed the calm activities alongside P4. The boys and girls came up with lots of suggestions to help their mental health over mid-term…from going out for a walk in nature to taking part in their sports, spending time at the park, reading a good book and meeting up with family and friends. Have a great mid-term P4!🌟
