We were delighted to welcome Hannah and Aodhan’s uncle, Oliver, a local poultry farmer, along with Emma from Fane Valley Feeds, to school for a highly engaging and informative visit. They shared their expert knowledge of the poultry industry, bringing along a range of farming equipment and delivering an excellent PowerPoint presentation that explained the journey from farm to egg production. The children thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on learning experience, especially meeting the chicks and hen that were brought in for them to see up close. This memorable visit provided valuable insight into farming life, animal care, and food production, while inspiring great interest and enthusiasm among all pupils.
