Friday's Brilliant Bakers

1st May 2020

Today we wish Cassie (P5) a big 'Happy 9th Birthday'. She and her family baked a beautiful cake to celebrate. We all hope you have a wonderful birthday weekend Cassie. Bella Grace (Nursery) has been busy baking gingerbread people with her Mum as part of her Home Learning topic. Fantastic Bella Grace. Ava (P3) and her Mum (Mrs Denvir from Nursery) say a big 'Hello' to everyone. They really enjoyed baking buns and caramel squares this week. Amazing! Lucas (P2) enjoyed baking a homemade pizza with just a little help from his Mum. It looks delicious Lucas! Adam (P4) and Lucy (Nursery) had lots of fun baking cookies and scones. They were very tasty and they were gobbled up very quickly as everyone enjoyed them so much. Superb! Ellie (P5) has been baking buns and biscuits this week. I love all the different shaped biscuits Ellie with all their colourful toppings. Oscar (P1) baked a cake for a very special 'Friday Family Treat'. What a lovely idea Oscar and I love the heart on top. Ben (P5) also had a lovely day baking buns for the family and then relaxing with his favourite wordsearch pack. Aoife (Nursery) baked terrific gingerbread biscuits today. She thoroughly enjoyed baking and sang the whole way through it. Fabulous Aoife! Niamh (P4) and her family will enjoy some beautiful home baked scones tonight. Well done Niamh. Cara (P6) baked scrumptious brownies today all by herself. Great baking Cara! Charlie (P1) has been making porridge with different topping, just like Goldilocks & The Three Bears. He also made a chocolate cake with his little brother. Last week he made a Fairy Garden. You really have had a very busy time Charlie. Charlotte (P6) was also in contact today to say that she built her 'Statue of Liberty' puzzle today to go alongside her 'Eiffel Tower' and 'Big Ben'. Her next target is her 'Disney Castle' puzzle. Wow!                                                                 Enjoy the weekend folks and remember to get ready for the big Saint Mary's 'Grow' challenge next week. Hunt out those seeds, bulbs, flower pots, trowels and spades and then send all 'Grow' photographs to aoneill392@c2kni.net. from Monday 4th May - Friday 8th May.

Thank you to all the pupils and their parents for a phenomenal response to our challenge. It's lovely to see everyone learning in so many ways.
