Today is our annual 'Yes' day in school and our teachers and staff are requested to say 'yes' to our pupil requests. It certainly has been an enjoyable day in school and I must admit to it being a little more interesting day as we all learned to say yes to many different requests from our pupils.
At our Assembly this morning we presented our Pupil of the Week certificates to Anna (P1), Dara (P2), Leo (P3), Oscar (P4), Harrison (P5), Kaelem (P6) and James (P7).
We presented Gold House points certificates for achieving 100 House Points to Rhian (P3), Eabha Grace, Hannah, Oisin McM, Oisin, Jenson, Teagan in Primary 4 and Brooke, Hollie, and Kate in Primary 5. Oisin in Primary 4 was also presented with his Gold Mathletics certificate.
Fianlly we celebrated with Joseph (P2) and Daniel (P3) who are this week’s Judo Player’s of the Week; the boys of Portaferry Town Boys who won various soccer matches last weekend; Belle (P4) and Kayleigh (P4) took part in different dance competitions; Oisin (P4) was swimmer of the week in his swimming class; Meabh (P4) and Meah (P6) won various horse jumping rosettes; and finally with the Girl’s camogie team that won their blitz last weekend and will be competing at Feile this coming weekend.
