Today we had a very busy assembly where we gave out lots of awards, and congratulated pupils for their endeavours outside school. Mr Denvir took the P6/7 school hurling team to Magherafelt to compete in the Ulster Indoor Hurling Championship. Whilst the boys did not win, they represented their school very well and Mr Denvir told us how proud he was of them all. Well done boys!
Mrs O’Neill told us how so many of our P3-7 have been working hard on our school Mathletics Program. As we approach Easter, it may be an idea to focus a little more on Mathletics at home as written homework decreases in some classes. This week Cian (P7) earned his first gold certificate, Oisin (P5) achieved his first platinum certificate and Leo (P4) gained his first emerald certificate.
Our pupils of the week were Noah (P1), Nancy (P2), Jacob (P3), Jack (P4), Eabha (P5), Grace (P6) and Amy (P7).
The special playground awards this week went to Harry in P2 and Ava in P7. Well done everyone!
The Green team are currently in the lead with a total of 1137 points… not long until this term’s winners are announced!!
