We had a very busy Assembly today with alot of different areas of school life to celebrate.
To begin with we celebrated together with Portaferry Town Boys who won their respective league at Under 11 level, Olly (P5) was Player of the Match for Portaferry Town Boys and Leo (P5) was selected as team captain for his team, Portavogie, Callie (P3) won a number of medals at an Irish Dancing Feis, Aine (P7) came 1st and 2nd and Grace (P7) won a rosette at Horse Riding. Finally Hannah and Teagan won prizes in the Credit Union Art Competition and Mrs Magee from the Credit Union visited the school to present their prize. We also wished the Portaferry GAC Senior Hurling time best wishes for the upcoming semi-final on Sunday.
We presented our first Gold certificate for 2022/23 in Mathletics to Oscar (P4). We know there are many pupils close to this level and we look forward to presenting more Gold award certificates over the next few weeks.
Our Pupils of the Week certificates this week were presented to Lucia (P1), Ari (P2), Caoimhe (P3), Oisin (P4), Leah (P5), Dara (P6), Grace (P7).
Finally to finish our Anti-Bullying Week prizes were presented for the best posters. Prizes were awarded to Caragh (P1), Dara (P2), Caoimhe (P3), Teagan (P4), Cillian (P5), Holly (P6) and Orna (P7). These posters will now be put on display throughout our school.
