27th Mar 2020

Another busy day for our schooling community.

Caitlin (P5) and Darragh (P2) were out for a nature walk last night enjoying the world around them and Caitlin (P5) also got up bright and early this morning for a good walk along the shore. A good way to wake everyone up for the day ahead!

The Collin’s family have been very busy Cara (P6) has been reading as usual finishing her library books and completed AR quizzes. Practice papers, revision books, literacy and numeracy. She has also enjoyed baking buns, feeding her lambs, play doh, making dens, ixl, found a butterfly and practising irish dancing.

Alice (P4) has been reading, completing her workbooks from home learning pack and usual numeracy and literacy homework books. She has also been playing with Lego, making dens, looking after the farm animals, doing a big jigsaw.

Meabh (P1) has been completing her home learning pack, her word box regularly gets practised. She has enjoyed helping her Daddy on the farm, making home made play doh, role play and colouring in.

Aoife (Nursery) has been doing colour by number, reading stories with us and having lots of outside play having a good sing song with Down in the jungle. Also making homemade Irish Pizza.

Logan (P1) has definitely been making the most of his 30 minutes of exercise but has still been finding time getting his home work done. He walked by the school today to go to Windmill Hill and he said to his mum how much he is missing everyone.

Tom (Nursery) wanted to show all the great work he did this morning - he has been practicing his pencil control and working with scissors loads. His mum tells me “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” is one of his favourite books so they tried making their own hungry caterpillar too. This afternoon we went on a big scavenger hunt looking for signs of spring.

Bella Grace (Nursery) had lots of fun watching the story of goldilocks and three bears and the she re-enacted the story with her teddy bears and barbie. She followed this up by making some porridge and her mum tells me she ate every bite. She is also enjoying her activity pages and colouring all about goldilocks and the three bears.

Ava (P2) was doing her school work and reading and Caoimbhe (P6) wanted to show everyone her rainbow stay safe sign.

Keep the photographs coming as it is great to see how everyone is keeping and letting us know you are doing well.
