Today we had some very special visitors! Firefighters Gray & McCarthy paid us a visit and they brought a real fire engine with them! Mrs Birt and Mrs Denvir kept it as a big surprise so the boys and girls only found out minutes before they arrived! There was so much excitement! We went outside and listened to the firefighters tell us about all the different equipment they have and what it is used for. Then we got to go up inside the fire engine! It was so cool to see inside it and where they keep all the things they need for fighting fires! After everyone had seen inside, we got to try out the hose. We had to pull a big handle to make the water come out. It came out really fast! As they left the car park, they put on the lights and sirens for us! They were loud! We loved our visit today and gave the firefighters a little present as a token of our appreciation.
