The children were introduced to the third and final Eco topic of ‘Transport’. There was lots of interesting discussion in the Key Stage Two classes about sustainable transport and how we can take action to reduce our carbon footprint. The Eco Council alongside Mr Smyth conducted a travel survey to determine the various methods that children use to travel to school. Mr Smyth was surprised with the results and we will definitely be encouraging more children to walk to school where possible during the Summer term. In addition to caring for the environment this will help us create healthy minds and bodies.
