Dinosaur Measuring

25th Mar 2026
For World Maths Day, we were learning all about measuring large sizes. Our children had the opportunity to measure some ancient dinosaurs, using metre sticks and string. The children worked together to measure and compare the sizes of real life sizes of dinosaurs. From the velociraptor and the ankylosaurus to the triceratops and the stegosaurus, the children practiced and applied their numeracy skills on an interactive way. This activity not only enhanced their understanding of measurement, but also sparked their curiosity about dinosaurs. Excellent work Ash Class, great World Maths Day measuring.
