Today, P6 joined 267 other classes online to participate in an online art class with the very talented Sinead McDermott from 'The Art and Design Factory', to mark children's metal health week.
We learned all about a famous artist called David Hockney and were so impressed by all his beautiful art work and couldn't believe he was still designing colourful digital artworks on his ipad at 84 year old!
We used one of David Hockney's landscape paintings as inspiration and explored perspective, backgrounds and foregrounds and how to create this in our own artwork. We used oil pastels, water colours and pencils to recreate Hockney's painting.
We thoroughly our online lesson and Mrs Fowler was so impressed with how we listened to instruction and the beautiful work that we produced!
