In P6, the children have begun learning about the 12‑hour and 24‑hour clock, with a focus on how to convert between the two formats. They used squashy boxes as a practical way to explore and apply these new skills, allowing them to manipulate and visualise different time representations.
After practising, the pupils worked collaboratively to create their own time‑conversion questions using the squashy boxes. These pupil‑generated problems will be used in our next maths lesson, where the children will challenge one another to solve each other’s questions, reinforcing their understanding and building confidence.
