P2 had good learning opportunities today whilst researching the parts of a bird. We covered WAU, Literacy, Numeracy, Thinking Skills and PDMU. We identified and discussed the Bluetit, and with the Interactive White board, labelled the parts of the bird. With careful listening and Phonics skills, the children sounded out the parts and then worked in pairs to label and compare and contrast a variety of Irish birds.
