Today in Assembly we presented special Bug Club certificates to Kate, Enda and Tomas. We also discovered that our P4-7 pupils have read a total of over 10 million words in the Accelerated Reading programme and have passed quizzes on 1521 novels so far this year. This is a fantastic reflection of the great reading going on within the school. We are well on our way to our targets of 30 million read words by the end of this year.
Top of our P4-7 readers board, so far this year, are Kian (P5) with 619,695 words read and 29 quizzes passed, Emmet (P5) with 671,280 words read and 36 quizzes passed and Cara (P5) with 805,575 words read and 39 quizzes passed. Some others are very close and we hope to recognise our first millionaire reader very soon. Our target is 10 for the year end. Keep reading!
