Our P1-3 Reading Bug awards were given to Bradan, Enda and Keelan.

In relation to P4-7 Accelerated Reader programme our overall status to date is that, as a school, the P4-7 pupils have read a total of 12,049,097 words which equates to 1782 books read and quizzes passed. At this half- way juncture we are just short of our 30million words read target but I know we can still get there!

Our league table of pupils shows that our top six pupils are; Sofia (P7) has 564,467 words read, Ella-Louise (P7)576,283 words read; Erin (P6) 576,351 words read; Emmet (P5) 727,573 words read and Kian (P5) with 743,297 words read.

However we are delighted to be able to announce our first millionaire reader, for this year, Cara (P5) who has read 1,035,311 words so far this year. A huge effort and congratulations Cara.

P4-P7 parents, you can track your child’s reading progress on Accelerated Reader by using Home Connect.  You can see all the books your child has read this year and how well they’ve been doing on the quizzes for these books.  Use the web address below to gain access to the site, this address is unique to our school and needs to be typed exactly as it is.  Once you navigate to the website why not save it to your favourites for easy future use?  At the login page your child enters their username and password that they use in school, click on the Accelerated Reader icon, once this opens look at your child’s progress and bookshelf which are found by clicking the links on the top right of the page.
