This week the boys and girls in P5 have started their new topic of ‘Area’. They were able to confidently count the whole and half squares inside shapes. Mr Smyth was very impressed that some of the boys and girls were able to make links with their times tables. They recognised that instead of counting every square you can simply count the rows and number of squares in each row. We continue to work hard on our times tables and created some very impressive posters ,which was a more engaging way to help consolidate our tables. Brilliant learning P5!
