All aboard! P3’s trip to the Ulster Transport Museum
P3 had a brilliant day at the Ulster Transport museum yesterday!
We explored lots of different types of transport from trains to trams and buses to boats! We learned all about 1st, 2nd and 3rd class travel and boarded an old train to see what the seats looked like. We also got a chance to go in to the drivers section and see how the engine worked and learned how the steam moved the train.
After this we were very excited to visit the Titanic room where we learned all about the structure of the Titanic and saw some artefacts that would have been used on the Titanic’s sister ships. We also got a chance to look at some old fashioned fire engines that were pulled by horses.
After our tour we had a lovely picnic outside and enjoyed the sunshine before heading home! We had a fantastic day and learned so much. Mrs Fowler and Mrs Hannon were so proud!
