In our literacy lesson ‘A Viking Dilemma’, the children worked collaboratively in groups to decide whether their Viking community should raid, trade, or settle. They discussed the advantages and disadvantages of each option, recorded their ideas, and justified their decisions using persuasive language. Each group then presented their conclusions to the rest of the class, developing their confidence in speaking and listening while encouraging teamwork, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of Viking life.
