In Primary 1 we have been learning all about the birth of baby Jesus. Our Christmas play this year is called “A Little Bird Told Me”.
Alfie the dove was the special bird who told Rosa Robin that a special baby was going to be born in Bethlehem where it was nice and warm. Some other birds joined robin and dove and they decided to go to Bethlehem and see for themselves. A very bright star, some angels and 3 wisemen helped the birds on their journey.
At last they found the stable where Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus were sleeping. Robin and her friends were very happy. The wisemen gave the baby special presents but the birds did not have anything to give. Wiseman Jacob thought the birds should sing a song with their beautiful voices, and so that is what they did! Mary and Joseph were delighted with the presents for their baby and for the beautiful singing.
