A great end to our farming topic for P6/7
19th Jun 2026
Today we were delighted to welcome Cormac’s dad, Stephen into our school, to tell us all about dairy and beef farming. He brought some hay, sileage and feed that he gives to the calves. You can tell by some of the pictures how the boys and girls felt about the smell of the sileage 😂
He was followed by Meabh and Aoife’s dad Paul, who brought an 18 month old cow and 3 rare breed sheep in for us to see up close. It is experiences like this that really bring the children’s learning to life and we are truly grateful to both gentlemen for coming to share their knowledge and further enhance the learning in P6/7.
