Before we meet our extra Makers, our thoughts and prayers today are with our Primary 4 class as today they would have been making their First Holy Communion. It is always a very special time for the schooling community and their families but we look forward to celebrating with them again soon.
We have a few extra little 'Magnificent Makers' for you this weekend. Daithi (P5) and Callie (Nursery) really enjoyed the 'Make' challenge this week. Daithi made some wooden flower boxes and Callie made a very special Fairy Garden. They even managed to find and plant a beautiful flower called 'Callie'. Such sweet memories being made among families. Fionn (P4) has been making pizza, soda bread, cookies and cakes and I am told they were all delicious. He also told me that they had a family quiz and thanks to his knowledge of superheroes he helped his family win the quiz. Well done Fionn! Keelan (P4) has been busy making and creating an art gallery in his tree house. He drew and coloured pictures during his 'Paul Cezanne' project. His Mum said he enjoyed researching and thinks he could get a 'good price' for his masterpieces. Cain (P6) and Niamh (P4) finished their 'Titanic' project with a large model ship and a rendition of the famous 'Titanic' theme tune on their tin whistles. Be sure to watch the video. Great playing Cain and Niamh! Jack (P6) had lots of fun making a Mickey Mouse from sticks collected on many daily walks. His little sister Lucie decided to get in on the act with a beautiful crepe paper rainbow. Bella Grace (Nursery) made bridges and houses with her wooden shape blocks. Charlotte (P6) made a model of the 'Titanic' and learned a lot of facts about the ship, crew and passengers. Cormac (P1) has really been enjoying the make it challenge this week. He usually enjoys a trip to the aquarium every week but since he can't visit at the moment he decided to bring it to his family and make one out of a box. He also made a papier mache replica of his favourite dinosaur the diplodocus and had fun collecting shells on the beach during our daily excercise to make a wind chime! You really have been very busy Cormac. Anya (P6) got in touch to say that she has been very busy doing her homework, cleaning the car, gardening, cooking and baking. Kayleigh (P1) couldn't wait to show us all her handmade barn. Great work Kayleigh. Fantastic work all round folks! You all are 'Magnificent Makers'. Remember the 'Bake Challenge Week' starts on Monday 27th April through to Friday 1st May so get planning and organising those recipes.
