This week, our children were fascinated by the wonderful world of 3D shapes. We discussed the proper vocabulary for describing 3D shapes, such as “edge”, “face” and “corner”. With great enthusiasm and curious hands, they built incredible structures using these 3D shapes. Our young architects investigated how different shape properties contributed to the strength or challenges in building. The children demonstrated fantastic teamwork and creativity, as well as discovering why some shapes are remarkably sturdy and why others are wobbly.
