It is the beginning of May and P4 are really looking forward to celebrating their First Holy Communion very soon. Fr McGrady came into class to talk to everyone about their special sacrament. He was very impressed with all their preparations at home and in school. He saw their lovely Holy Communion booklets, artwork and May Altar. The boys and girls said some of their new prayers for him too.
For Literacy, it has been about the ‘g’, ‘j’, ‘ge’ and ‘dge’ sounds in phonics as well as lots of fact, fiction and poetry based comprehension work this week.
During Numeracy, the class thoroughly enjoyed examining lots of graphs and charts. They were able to analyse the data, talk about it and record it in different forms. They also looked at coordinates, directions and angles in preparation for upcoming assessments.
PE continued with mini team games where sportsmanship was of the essence. On that note, a big well done to Cliodhna and Jesse who have achieved so much in their respective sports. Fantastic work P4!🌟
