The Ash Class
Welcome to Ash Class. A Specialist Provision Classroom within 'The Meadow', catering to children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One. "Ash Class: Rooted in Care, Growing in Confidence".
Our Class Teacher is Miss McCarthy and our learning is supported by Mrs Milligan, Cindy, Mrs Doherty and Lisa, our Classroom Assistants.
Our World Around Us topics for 2025/2026 include: Term 1A People Who Help Us; Term 1B Space; Term 2A Birds and Flight; Term 2B Dinosaurs; Term 3 Construction.
In Ash Class, we nurture academic growth alongside social, emotional, and communication skills, ensuring every pupil has the chance to shine. We follow the National Curriculum, but every aspect is adapted and differentiated to meet the needs of our learners. This ensures that each child can access learning at their own level and pace, while being challenged to make meaningful progress across all subjects. We combine creative teaching with a strong focus on ICT, giving pupils access to digital tools and technologies that help them succeed in their learning. Gardening and outdoor learning are also central to our class, with pupils taking pride in caring for our school gardens and sensory spaces. Together, these experiences enrich our children’s education, build confidence, and prepare them for the future.
