P7 had a very exciting visit from Ryan (Dragons in the Hills project) today. Ryan dropped off 34 new class members... tadpoles!
Over the next few weeks and months P7 will be caring for, feeding and monitoring the growth of the tadpoles.
We learned about how to clean the tank and make sure that the conditions were just right for the frogspawn to survive. Ryan gave us a guide so we know what to expect but we hope that in the next few weeks, the tadpoles will hatch. When they hatch we can begin to start feeding them. Ryan told us that we can feed them fish food or even boiled lettuce! We hope they don’t get hungry as we heard that if they do, the eat each other!
We can’t wait to watch the tadpoles grow and hatch. We will keep you all updated!
