This term we have been looking at procedural writing and the importance of clear instructions. Today in class we made two fruit and veg smoothies. One more adventurous than the other!!
The children really enjoyed suggesting the ingredients and having a go tasting the finished product.
Smoothie 1 consisted of banana, grapes, strawberries, pineapple, apple and carrots.
Smoothie 2 consited of banana, grapes, pineapple, apple, strawberries, avocado, celery and iceburg lettuce.
To the surprise of "most" of the children they actually enjoyed the second smoothie!!
To finish our lesson the children used the correct format for writing up instructions.
