Today I (Enda Braniff) was Principal for the Day. When I came in, I left my bag in the office and me and the former Principal went to Nusery to tell the teachers about the new Principal (ME). We did the same to the other seven classes and then we also had a whole school Assembly. At that Assembly I called out the people who were our new Pupil's of the Week. I also presented gold Mathletics certificates and gold House Points Awards. I then got the whole school to sing Happy Birthday to all those whose birthday it is this week. After Break I had a new staff meeting and found out all about what the new teachers had been doing in their classrooms. We also got some new ideas, such as less work, no homework and more books. Mr. Gilchrist was not too happy about some of these ideas. Following the Staff meeting I went into each classroom to see what they were doing. I enjoyed going round the classrooms, and I even unlocked some happy memories in Nursery.
I enjoyed being the Principal temporarily, but I don't think I would like to do it full time, as it is alot of hard work. I will let Mr Gilchrist take over again as Principal after today.
