Today we were very lucky to get a special visit from Firefighters McCarthy & Gray. They brought a big fire engine to nursery and parked right outside. We loved hearing about the big water tank inside it and how they have to use the ladders sometimes. We were very excited when we got to use the big hose to try and knock a cone over! We got to go inside the fire engine if we wanted to. It was a big climb up some steps and we were up very high. When it came time for the firefighters to leave we waved goodbye. They switched on the blue lights and the siren as they drove out of the car park. When we came back in to nursery, we talked about our visit and some of the highlights were spraying the hose, the noise of the siren and getting inside a real fire engine! All the boys and girls loved this today. Thank you to Firefighters McCarthy & Gray for giving up their time to come and see us.
