In Primary Seven we have been learning about the features of fables and traditional stories. Last week, we read the Senegalese folk story, ‘The Discontented Fish’. We talked about how fables always have animals that act like humans, simple dialogue and a moral at the end.
Using this knowledge, in small groups we rewrote the story. To bring the fable to life we then created puppets and different backgrounds. Here is a recording of one of our performances by Cahlie, Alexa and Caitlin (with some help from Eva Marie). We hope that you enjoy watching.
