With the festive season fast approaching our new WAU topic is "Christmas Around the World". The children will explore different cultures and traditions during Christmas. In our first lesson we used compass points and Atlases to plot Santa's route around the World visiting countries that spell CHRISTMAS and SANTA. The children had to do a lot of Atlas work to find and then locate these countries on their own maps. They really enjoyed this task and learned where countries were in the World.
