Another very productive week in P4 as we journey towards the end of April. We have been busy with lots of rehearsals for First Holy Communion, learning our special prayers and responses as well as completing our ‘Grow In Love’ activities.
We have been tying up our Multiplication topic for Maths with lots of practical, workbook and computer based activities. We are especially loving ‘Table Mountain’ and ‘Maths Chase’.
In Literacy we have been revisiting lots of strategies to help with independent spelling of Stage 5/6 words as well as proof reading our written work to check for all essential punctuation and grammar. We have been continuing to develop our comprehension skills with Accelerated Reader and enjoying ‘Reading for Enjoyment’ too.
In WAU we have been completing our minibeast research both indoors and outdoors. We want to say a big ‘Thank You’ to Portaferry In Bloom for a special delivery of seeds, compost and pots. It will be great to see who can grow the ‘Tallest Sunflower’ in Portaferry as part of the Ards and North Down ‘Sunflower Growing Competition’.
We have had such a busy week that we definitely deserve a little rest over the bank holiday. Onwards and upwards for Term 3!
